Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy.

Why did I do the MBA?
I needed to find a way to translate 11 years of operational military experience as a Navigator and Diving Officer, into business skills recognisable in ‘civvy street’. The MBA enabled me to understand the theories and concepts underpinning the skills I had developed and used daily in the military.

Benefits of the MBA?
I achieved a Distinction at MMU, and to prospective employers this meant that my credentials as an experienced military manager had been tested against a recognised benchmark of business education, proven to be robust, and were therefore readily transferrable to their organisations.

Current Position?
I’m currently a senior Principal Consultant at PA Consulting Group, and I specialise in driving operational excellence within service organisations through the application of Lean methodologies.
